Signaline adds further European Approval to Linear Heat Detection Range

, ,

Signaline is delighted to announce that the Signaline FT and Signaline FT-EN range have both passed European Technical Assessment evaluation.

Achieving a European Technical Assessment (ETA) for Signaline Linear Heat Detection is a significant milestone as it provides independent, Europe-wide validation of the system’s performance, reliability and suitability for its intended use.

What is European Technical Assessment (ETA)?

A European Technical Assessment (ETA) is a formal document used to evaluate the performance of construction products that are not fully covered by existing harmonised European standards. It provides an independent, Europe-wide method for assessing key characteristics, such as strength, durability and safety, ensuring manufacturers can demonstrate how their products perform in real-world use.

By obtaining an ETA, manufacturers can bring new technologies to market more quickly while still meeting the regulatory requirements needed to sell construction products across the European Economic Area.

Issued by designated Technical Assessment Bodies and based on European Assessment Documents (EADs), an ETA sets out the product’s declared performance and the methods used to verify it.

What does the ETA approval mean for Linear Heat Detection?

Signaline Linear Heat Detection is already the most highly approved solution available on the global market, holding a comprehensive portfolio of certifications including UL, cUL, FM, VdS, UL EU, ActivFire and numerous additional national approvals.

Given the critical, life-safety role of linear heat detection systems, it is essential that Signaline continues to lead from the front in achieving and maintaining the highest levels of third-party approval, ensuring both regulatory compliance and widespread market acceptance.

By securing European Technical Assessment (ETA) certification across both the Signaline FT and Signaline FT-EN product ranges, Signaline further demonstrates its commitment to meeting and exceeding the rigorous performance and compliance standards demanded by the fire detection industry.
