Cold Storage

Cold stores (also known as a cold room or refrigerated warehouse) is a temperature-controlled facility used to store perishable goods such as food, pharmaceuticals, or chemicals that require specific low temperatures to remain safe and effective.

Despite the low temperature significant fire risks are still present. Due to the lower temperatures the enviornment is very dry, leading to quick proliferation if a fire occurs.

However, the cold temperatures combined with other mechanical factors means many fire detection system will fault in such enviornments.
