We are thrilled to announce that Signaline will be showcased on the Innovation stage at the upcoming Secutech Vietnam fire and security exhibition! This prestigious event, known for highlighting the latest advancements and breakthroughs in the industry, provides an exceptional platform for Signaline to demonstrate its cutting-edge solutions.
Signaline has been selected to present our range of Signaline FT cables and their critical use for early fire detection within conveyor and PV arrays (solar) systems.
Dao Hong Tam, from our partners Fast Fire and Security, will be addressing the audience at the Innovation stage on Friday 16th August 2024 at 10.50am.
Why choose Signaline FT Linear heat detection?
Linear heat detection is a method used to detect heat or fire along a linear path, such as in car parks, solar panels, tunnels or conveyor belts. It works by using a heat-sensitive cable that detects changes in temperature. When the cable reaches a certain temperature, it triggers an alarm or activates a fire suppression system.
Ms Tam will be explaining what Signaline FT is and why it is the ideal solution for conveyor belts and PV arrays (solar) applications.
Why use linear heat detection in conveyor belts?
Conveyor belt systems often carry flammable materials such as coal. Dust and small pieces of material fall from the moving belt and accumulate at the sides of the conveyor.
This settled dust provides a ready source of combustible material. The main source of ignition of the accumulated material is friction in the roller bearings caused by gritty particles of dust around a roller or the belt itself.
Signaline FT Linear heat detection provides early detection should overheating occur and can be easily installed in all conveyor systems with suitable fixing clips.
Available with both nylon and stainless steel coatings the cable will not be affected by the corrosive or mechanical risk within the conveyorbelt and linked with the LocatorPlus, Signaline Linear Heat Detection will give an exact alarm point location.
Why use Signaline in PV Arrays (solar) installations?
PV panels and associated electrical equipment pose specific fire risks that need to be addressed for proper fire safety in PV installations. PV systems generate electrical power from sunlight through the use of solar panels, which produce direct current (DC) electricity.
This DC power needs to be converted to alternating current (AC) for use in buildings or the grid.
However, the conversion process and the presence of electrical components increase the risk of fire. Faulty wiring, overheating inverters, and inadequate surge protection can lead to electrical malfunctions and potential fire hazards.
Signaline Linear heat detection is a specialized technology used to detect heat or sudden increases in temperature along a cable’s entire length. In the context of PV systems, linear heat detection plays a crucial role in detecting and preventing fires.
Unlike conventional fire alarm systems, which rely on individual spot detectors, linear heat detection provides continuous monitoring and early warning capabilities. This technology operates based on a fixed temperature threshold, triggering an alarm when the specified temperature is reached.
By promptly detecting and alerting to potential fire hazards, linear heat detection ensures prompt response and minimizes the risk of damage in PV systems.
So come to the Secutech Innovation Stage on Friday 16th August and learn how Signaline can increase your fire safety standards.
Signaline will once again be proudly on display at the market leading South East Asian fire industry trade event Secutech Vietnam
Running between 14th and 16th August at the SECC exhibition centre in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Signaline first exhibited at Secutech in 2019 and after a few years of covid interruptions also exhibited in 2023. Third time’s a charm and we look forward to meeting many of our customers, new and old, at the 2024 edition.
What to expect at Secutech Vietnam 2024?
Vietnam is one of the fastest growing markets in Asia. Secutech gives Signaline an opportunity to showcase our Linear Heat Detection solutions and the benefits it offers.
Secutech will separated into four distinct areas;
Secutech Vietnam: The business and technology platform for security professionals in Asia.
Fire & Safety Vietnam: Strongly supported by local authorities and associations, this must-attend event taps into local government and private sector infrastructure projects, with its rising investment and procurement of fire safety equipment.
SMABuilding: Secutech Intelligence Building Vietnam targets increasing demand for smart building solutions in Vietnam for better security, energy savings and management.
ParkTech: The first-of-its-kind gathering that will bring together parking lot operators, service providers, professionals, and managers specializing in parking to exchange insights on one of Vietnam’s growing problems.
What will Signaline be presenting at Secutech 2024?
As well as exhibiting at this years exhibition Signaline is pleased to also have a innovation speakers slot.
Come and see Dao Hong Tam present Signaline on Friday 19th August 2024 between 10-12am at the innovation stage.
Tam will be explain why Signaline Linear Heat Detection is an excellent low cost solution for early detection across a range of application including solar panels, car parks and power cables.
Signaline joins forces with Talentum
Linear heat is also commonly used in conjunction with flame detection. For applications such as conveyor belts, recycling facilities and factories, fire can be detected by a sudden temperature increase or a flickering flame.
LGM Product’s new strategic partnership with FFE UK means that Signaline can now offer a comprehensive fire detection solution to these areas with the Talentum range of flame detectors.
The Talentum range of flame detectors incorporates UV, UV/IR and IR3 models, approvals for both safe and hazardous areas and stainless steel as well as aluminum enclosures.
Therefore, if fast, accurate fire detection is critical, choose Signaline and Talentum, because when it comes to fire detection, only the best will do.
Signaline is now available in over 80 countries worldwide so we excited to extend our international reach throughout the Australian, New Zealand and South Pacific market.
Protec Fire Detection ANZ has over six decades of experience in the fire industry, and has an enviable reputation for providing innovative products and superior service that met clients ever more demanding expectations.
“Being able to bring the market leading Signaline range of products to the entire Pacific region through our network of distribution partners is truly exciting.” Commented Dave Boyack, BDM-Protec Fire Detection-ANZ. He continued; “We pride ourselves on supplying the most competitive and reliable products and LGM’s philosophy in this regard aligns perfectly with our objectives”
In 2023 Signaline FT-EN became the first and only ActivFire approved Linear Heat Detector on the market. Nic Mogford-Revess, Sales Director, said ‘Achieving ActivFire approval on the FT-EN range was a big step forward for LGM and our commitment to the South Pacific market. This coupled with Protec’s market strength presents a really exciting opportunity to grow the market and support customers locally.”
